As of 1st July, 2021 the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) released new guidelines (EPA Act, 1st July, 2021) that are now the law in Victoria. It is now your obligation as the last registered owner of your car, to ensure that your car is recycled with a business that has an EPA permit & follows all of the EPA guidelines when dismantling. It is against the law and there are penalties in place, if this EPA law is broken.
